Atlanta's got an extremely flavorful melting pot of college football fans — though it may seem at times Bulldogs fans monopolize that pot.

No matter who you're rooting for this fall, when you can't travel from Atlanta to see your favorite play, don't despair.

These metro Atlanta bars welcome fan bases from all over, each with its own specialty:

Hudson Grille Sandy Springs (Ohio State)6317 Roswell Road NE, Sandy Springs. 404-554-8282

Always a sterling example of the Atlanta sports bar, the Sandy Springs location is the place to be on Saturdays if you want to watch Ohio State (or torment Buckeye fans.) Beers on tap and burgers complete the scene.

Adele's on Canton (LSU)1169 Canton St., Roswell. 770-594-0655Shout "Geaux Tigers" along with other Louisiana State University fans at this welcoming restaurant.  The Cajun menu will make a Louisiana fan's day, right down to the soft-shell crab. And if you're getting an early start for the viewing day, Adele's serves breakfast Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Bucket Shop Café (Auburn)3475 Lenox Road NE. 404-261-9244

It's a classic 19th century bar in Buckhead all yearround, but college football season seems to bring the Auburn University Tigers to the Bucket Shop. Additional incentive — wings galore.

Mazzy's Marietta Sports Bar & Grill (Tennessee)

2217 Roswell Road, Marietta. 678-213-1688.

Mazzy's, which has locations in Marietta, Norcross, Roswell and Kennesaw, offers plenty of HD widescreen LCD televisions to get a full scope of the game, affordable bites and leisure activities during halftime—from billiards to poker.  Those who bleed orange  will especially enjoy viewing their team on the gridiron with fellow Tennessee fans.

Hudson Grille Brookhaven (Vanderbilt)

4046 Peachtree Road NE. 404-233-0313This Hudson Grille location in Brookhaven invites Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt fans most enthusiastically.

Diesel Filling Station (Auburn)870 N Highland Ave. NE. 404-815-1820

Atlanta's many Auburn fans also gather at this Virginia-Highland bar.

The Arena Tavern (UGA)2000 Satellite Blvd. NW, Duluth. 770-623-4585Georgia Bulldogs and stray Georgia Tech fans will find a welcome here. It's a great place to watch any college football while quaffing a local brew, since the Arena Tavern also supports local breweries like Terrapin, Sweetwater and Jekyll.

Dillon's Sports Bar (UGA)850 Dogwood Road B500, Lawrenceville. 770-978-4308Friendly folks, many of them vocal Bulldogs, frequent this place on Saturday. But if you want to watch out-of-state college football teams, too, it's cool, since they have 70 big screen televisions. Lots of the bar patrons will be back again for Nascar on Sunday.

Black Bear Tavern (Ole Miss)1931 Peachtree Road NE. 404-355-9089

The Ole Miss mascot is the Rebel Black Bear nowadays, so this bar's the perfect fit on Saturdays. If the HDTV action ends early, win or lose, segue into the live music.

Smith's Olde Bar (Alabama)1578 Piedmont Ave. NE. 404-875-1522Calling all Alabama ex-pats. Smith's opens at noon on Saturdays to show you how the Tide rolls.

Hurricane Grill & Wings (Georgia Tech)9700 Medlock Bridge Road Ste 120, Johns Creek. 678-279-5505Tech fans  can bring their own friends and take over at least one television at this wing and brew franchise. Just let your server know which game you want and it's on. They go 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturdays.
