Another coronavirus death reported in Athens

Latest UGA testing results expected today

The Georgia Department of Public Health says Athens has added another death from coronavirus: the total since March now stands at 37. Oconee County has 24 deaths from COVID 19 since tracking began six and a half months ago.

The University of Georgia will release this afternoon the results of its latest week of on-campus coronavirus testing. UGA has expanded the testing at Legion Pool, looking to test up to 450 asymptomatic students, staffers, and faculty per day.

Georgia added another 48 deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours: the state Department of Public Health says the total since March now stands at 6,398.
