Arrested in Athens, jailed in Atlanta

A trainer for the Georgia Bulldog baseball team is arrested on child sex charges. 34 year-old Jason Castleman was booked first into the Clarke County jail in Athens and taken later by Roswell Police to a Fulton County lockup in Atlanta. Fulton County records list charges that include electronically furnishing obscene materials to minors.

Clarke County records show that Castleman was arrested on a felony charge of using a “computer service to seduce, solicit, lure, entice” a child to commit an illegal act.

Fulton County records list the charges as electronically furnishing obscene materials to minors, obscene internet contact with a child, solicitation of sodomy and using a computer service to seduce, solicit, lure or entice a child.

Castleman has since been fired by UGA, according to the AJC. His profile has been removed from the staff directory online.
