In a news release, the Seattle Police Department said officers arrested a man Friday evening after he allegedly broke into a house, filled up the bathtub, and started to take a bath while still clothed.

Officers were reportedly called out to a house in the 1700 block of 34th Avenue about a robbery just after 7 p.m. Friday, authorities said. A woman called 911 after she returned home and noticed that one of the windows of her house was smashed. She reportedly saw an unknown man inside.

Once officers arrived at the house, they announced their presence and instructed anyone inside the house to come outside, according to KIRO. No one responded so officers went inside.

During their search of the house, officers located the suspect in one of the bathrooms, according to KIRO.

Seattle Police Department said that the suspect was reportedly clothed in a full bathtub.

The suspect, 27, did not provide officers with an explanation, according to police. He was arrested and booked for a recommended charge of residential burglary.

No further information has been released.
