“Dogs wanting to be a puppy when they’re 10 makes me think: why? Why don’t you want to be 10 and be pawsome at that?” – ACR’s Emma retelling us her favorite Emma Thompson quotation. Welcome Emma! Emma is a wonderful 57-pound labradoodle mix, and is about 10 years old. Don’t let her age fool you though – she is still young at heart! Emma is potty-trained and crate-trained! She will happily sleep throughout the night and keeps her crate clean when Foster Mom is gone. Emma goes into the crate on her own, no coaxing needed. She will whine for a short bit when first left, but quickly settles down. Foster Mom is working with Emma to handle new situations better, as new situations tend to make Emma a little nervous. Emma is feline-friendly! She has lived with multiple cats, and leaves them alone to do their own thing. With new human-friends she will be a little shy at first, but once she realizes you want to be her friend she will start to be very sweet with you. Emma is great with other dogs outside the home. She visits the dog park, is fine meeting dogs on a leash, and enjoys outdoor playdates, but needs to be the only dog in the house. She just doesn’t appreciate another dog in her space, especially when she gets tired. Foster Mom has also told us that Emma has a very cute food-time hop/dance! Besides meal time, Emma is an overall calm dog who doesn’t need much exercise to be happy. Think you’re the one to give Emma a home to grow older in?
