This Valentine’s Day, Angry Orchard is helping you trade in your heartbreak for alcohol money, all thanks to your ex.

With the Angry Orchard Ex-Change program, customers can trade in their ex’s abandoned junk in exchange for cash this Valentine’s day season to spend on Angry Orchard hard cider.

“Valentine’s Day has a way of stirring up plenty of frustrations, and at Angry Orchard, we love helping our drinkers find the fun in all of it,” said Matt Withington, the brand’s senior director of marketing.

Described as “the ultimate trade-up,” Angry Orchard consumers simply register for a free Angry Orchard Ex-Change Kit which includes packaging materials and a prepaid shipping label.

Packages sent to the Angry Orchard Cider House will then be sorted and donated accordingly.

Examples of things consumers can send in include the forgotten hoodie, dusty vinyl collection or the hideous poster that never matched anything in your place anyway!

Registration for the Ex-Change program ends Friday, February 20, while supplies last.
