HONOLULU — From Beast Mode to feast mode. Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch was in a giving mode Monday as he handed out 200 free turkeys near Honolulu’s Aloha Stadium.
Lynch, who led the Seattle Seahawks to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances, including a 43-8 victory against Denver in Super Bowl XLVIII, began handing off the free turkeys beginning at 10:30 a.m. local time, KHON reported. The birds were given out on a first-come, first-serve basis, the television station reported.
Former Hawaii football star Chad Owens also helped to distribute the turkeys, the television station reported.
Lynch, 34, played 12 seasons in the NFL after starring at the University of California, the Mercury News reported.
