Two rappers are among nine people who are accused of robbing and kidnapping Gucci Mane and several others, according ot the Department of Justice.

WFAA reported that nine people in all were accused of robbing several people at a Dallas, Texas, music studio, holding them at gunpoint on Jan. 10.

Eight of the nine people were arrested on April 1 in Dallas, Memphis and Nashville, the DOJ said.

WSB reported that Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radrick Davis, went to a meeting at the studio with Pooh Shiesty (Lontrell Williams Jr.), but that the meeting became a coordinated “armed takeover,” with Pooh Shiesty pulling out a gun and forcing a victim to sign a recording contract release.

Big 30 (Rodney Lamont Wright Jr.) barricaded the door, keeping everyone inside the studio, officials said, according to WFAA.

A victim was choked to near unconsciousness, WMC reported.

The victims were also robbed of cash, Rolexes and jewelry. The men accused of carrying out the robbery allegedly posted photos on social media showing items that were believed to have been taken during the incident, according to WMC.

Pooh Shiesty was signed to 1017 Records, Gucci Mane’s label.

Williams had pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of crimes of violence and drug trafficking and served three years before this alleged incident. He was released from prison and was on home detention, prohibited from having a gun or committing a crime, WFAA reported.

If convicted, those accused face up to life in prison, WMC reported.
